PBJ Oatmeal

Notes

  • Extremely filling

Ingredients

  • Peanut butter – 1 to 2 tbsp
  • Jelly or Preserves – 1 to 2 tbsp
  • Old Fashion Oats – 1/4 cup
  • Water – 1/4 cup

Steps

  1. Put oats and water in microwavable bowl.
  2. Microwave for 1 1/2 minutes.
    1. Oatmeal will look drier than normal, this will be remedied with peanut butter.
  3. Put jelly into hot oatmeal.
  4. Put peanut butter into hot oatmeal and mix all together.
  5. Eat, but don’t burn your mouth.

Sourdough Pancakes

Notes:

  • I usually halve the recipe

Ingredients:

  • Sourdough Starter – 1 cup mature
  • Milk – 1 cup
  • Sugar – 2 tablespoons
  • Vegetable oil – 2 tablespoons
  • Egg – 1
  • Flour – 2 cups
  • Baking Powder – 2 teaspoons
  • Baking Soda – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon

Steps:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and soda, sugar and salt.
  2. Add the sourdough starter, milk, egg and oil. Mix well just until combined.
  3. Spray a pancake griddle with cooking spray or grease well with butter. Heat to about 300-350 degrees.
  4. Cook like normal pancakes or follow the next 2 steps.
  5. Pour 1/4 cup pancake batter on the hot griddle. Cook until the pancake starts bubbling on top, then flip the
    pancake.
  6. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes or until the pancake is cooked through.

Overnight Oats

Materials:

  • Container with lid


Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup Rolled Oats
  • 1/2 cup Almond Milk
  • 1tbs Chia Seeds

Steps:

  1. Mix Oats and Chia seeds in jar.
  2. Pour in the milk of your choice.
  3. Cap the container and let it sit in the fridge overnight.
  4. In the morning the Oats will be ready to eat.

Optional Additions:

Fresh Fruit

Peanut butter

Honey

Maple Syrup

Chocolate Syrup
